You’re saying doctors are asking you were talking about what we can do nutritionally?. What you can do nutritionally is utilize DHA. Now what is DHA?. DHA is a conditionally essential omega-3 fatty acid it’s conditionally essential because there’s some situations where you may need it. In some situations where you may not now in today’s conditions there are a lot of people who actually need it right.
Diets and Stress
Poor quality diets maybe you don’t have access to food that has high amounts of DHA in it. Maybe you have a lot of stress in your lifestyle. These are all reasons that can make you need DHA and you know really a lack of it’s gonna cause a huge amount of problems within. The body now when we look at DHA it’s highly concentrated in the mitochondria. This is the energy center of the body.
This is where energy is produced the brain and also the photoreceptors of the eye
So guess what? if you have DHA deficiencies or a low level in the body, these areas all struggle now. It also is critical for eye health, immune health, heart health, of which I’ll get to more in just a minute. Okay these are all things that a lot of people struggle with and when we talk about this. DHA and Aging
Next, let’s talk about DHA and Aging we’re going to focus. You know a little bit on some area other areas of health but mostly focus on the brain health. It starts to decrease.
We start to get some degeneration in these areas as we age we want to make sure that we’re keeping up with our brain health and DHA helps us do that. It’s also gonna help improve adult ADV and ADHD. Otherwise it’s no, this is something that we typically think about children but there’s a lot of adults out there who are not able to focus.
They’re not able to recall things you know. When we look at a lot of the problems with a DAT D and ADHD, they’re not only in children many adults have it. Unfortunately you know they’re just living with it and they’re just saying “well this is a struggle I have” but they’re not knowing you can actually use something like DHA and scientifically. It’s proven to actually help reverse. Many of these issues and symptoms associated with it it also is going to reduce the risk of sudden heart related death. Okay this isn’t very important you know.
You know people in their late 40s early 50s falling dead of a heart attack just like that. And so the research shows us that it drastically decreases the risk of that happening. There’s also going to help decrease macular degeneration. Like I said if you’re like me you like to ask questions. okay why are so many people having macular degeneration today? why are so many of the elderly having retina detachments?.
It’s a big problem and how come this wasn’t a big issue before. But it is now and so what we’re looking at here is you know just you know first of all children who are in front of tablets or smartphone all the time. Children who are on computers that sort of thing and even adults it’s causing early macular degeneration. In this situation we have to just put the right things in, so that we support proper eye health.
Mental Health Study
Let’s look at a mental health study. This is important what they did is they took a group of adults 35 to 54 and what they did is they looked at five major dimensions of mental health. What they found is that DHA was able to improve mental health. In a huge way it was able to help with mental reasoning, mental flexibility, also memory and vocabulary which are all good signs that. If you’re struggling in any of those areas that you are having some neurodegenerative issue happening in your brain you do not have proper improve brain function. It also is able to help maintain brain cells.
More very important as we age. Like I said this is not just for someone who is super you know up there in age this is for someone who is you know. In their 20s their 30s this is all very very supportive but also is going to help with eye health. What they found is in a 2009 National Eye Institute study is that you are 30% less likely to develop macular degeneration. Where I’m trying to actually improve my eye health and DHA is a big part of that. If you’re anybody who has ever had prescription lenses, you know that typically what happens your eyes just get worse and worse as you age well. I actually would hope that my eyes can improve and we’re actually doing so improving my eyes as I age and so I’m actually kind of reversing that trend. Let’s go ahead and talk about how DHA is important for development and for children.

So it’s very important for mothers who want to improve their baby’s health to take DHA.
Another example, my wife is currently pregnant and she is taking DHA in order to you know give our child the best chance at life essentially. Now when we look at the our children for instance once they were no longer breastfeeding and once they were able to actually start consuming food. We must started supplementing with DHA!.

There is a 16-week study 362 children what they found is that when they increase DHA intake they were able to decrease the impulsive behavior. That’s huge a lot of these kids that can focus in school. They can’t function in school. DHA can really help. So what we know here is that DJ is very important for improve brain function and health, it’s important for heart health, it’s important for eye health, it’s important for just your total body health, it’s so important if we actually increase our levels of DHA.
Consume high amounts every day we’re going to have much better overall health. So clinically relevant dose and also very pure we want to make sure that we’re not getting a whole bunch of toxins in our oils want to make sure that the oils aren’t rancid as well if we want them to work.
